CENTRAL BAPTIST CHURCH
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT WHEN I VISIT?
Visiting a new church can be awkward, nerve-racking, and sometimes even frustrating. We'd like to make your visit to CBC as worry free and as spiritually beneficial as possible. During Sunday School, children and teens have classes that are specifically designed for their grade level, while infants and toddlers are cared for in our nursery. Our adult class begins at 10 AM where we study the Bible in some detail. Questions are welcomed as we share in open discussion. Our goal during this time is to discover what the text says, what it means, how it fits in with the rest of Scripture, and then how we can live out that truth in 21st century America.
WHAT ARE THE WORSHIP SERVICES LIKE?
We gather in worship at CBC to bring God glory and honor in recognition of who he is and all that he's done. We also gather to hear from the Lord as Scripture is opened from the pulpit. God breathed out his Word so that we might have his direction and strength, equipping us for whatever we face in life.
We believe that God-honoring worship will also powerfully engage the human heart and spirit. In our times of worship we use music that exalts Christ with some of the best dynamic Hymns and "spiritual songs" of praise (Ephesians 5:19). We believe these great time-honored hymns of faith best bring honor to our Savior.
HOW DO PEOPLE DRESS?
We do not have a dress code at CBC, though we do encourage people to dress modestly. You will find that our ministry leaders and many of our church members dress for Sunday services in what could be called traditional "Sunday Dress". It is our desire however that everyone at CBC feel comfortable and right at home, regardless of how they are dressed. We come together to worship the Lord and to enjoy his presence. As such, we are more concerned with a person's heart and soul than we are with what they happen to be wearing.
IS THERE NURSERY CARE?
Yes, there is nursery care available for all services.
